Windmill Village Hotel

Windmill Village Hotel has a lake with an arched stone bridge across it, and it’s where we’d want to spend some proper time with you both. The arch frames you nicely from the bank, with water on either side, and it’s far enough from the building that the photos feel properly rural. Around it there’s a stone-walled path, reeds along the water and enough parkland to line up all your guests in a single row.

Your ceremony is in the Chapel Suite, a beamed barn that feels warm and intimate next to the bigger function rooms. The confetti follows outside the red-brick front. In autumn, the trees turn rust and gold, and there are enough fallen leaves on the ground to throw about.

The evening can include a hog roast, a light-up dance floor and a sparkler send-off in the dark, with a fireside to retreat to when anyone needs a sit-down.
