The Orangery, Maidstone

The Orangery in Maidstone sits in nine acres of Kent gardens. You can marry outdoors under the trees and sign the register in the white garden pavilion alongside. Indoors, the glass Orangery itself is bright and hung with chandeliers, with the garden on every side, and it really shows off a colourful celebration.

The grounds are full of different spots. There’s a lake, a millstream with a metal footbridge over it, a woven willow archway, a walled garden and some flint-and-brick arches. You’ll even find a rope swing by the log store. We can keep moving you around for portraits, and every photo looks like it was taken somewhere new. The footbridge is a fun place for anything colourful, like smoke flares.

If you’re planning fireworks, have them over the lake, so they’re reflected in the water.
