Swallows Nest Barn
The field next door is what makes Swallows Nest Barn worth the walk. It’s ten minutes on foot from your reception to a gate, a post-and-rail fence and open Warwickshire farmland, and at the end of a summer day that grass goes gold and the couple portraits stop looking like they have anything to do with a venue. The lane between the two is nearly as good, quiet enough to stand in the middle of. The barn itself is brick and glass, so your reception stays bright without us doing anything to it, and the same room turns warm and close once the candles are lit and the band starts up. Couples often marry at a church nearby and come on here afterwards. The courtyard outside is where everyone ends up with drinks, which makes it the best place for the candid frames of your guests that nobody has posed for. Dancing spills back out of the doorway at dusk with the flowerbeds fairy-lit behind. Give us that field at sunset and it pays for itself.
