Stratton Court Barn

The barn you marry in at Stratton Court Barn has windows down both sides, so the room stays full of daylight and the ceremony pictures come out soft. You come straight out of those doors into the courtyard, which means the confetti happens a few steps from where you got married and nobody has to be walked round the building for it. There’s a huge open field right next door as well, a minute away, and that’s where we’d take you for the couple portraits. You can walk right out into the middle of it and have nothing behind you but trees and Oxfordshire farmland. The road running along the edge is where we’d line everyone up for the group photo, with the field behind you. Then there’s a separate room for the evening, timber and brick with a stage at one end, and it takes the band’s lighting well, so the dancing comes out with colour in it rather than flat.
