St Audries Park - wedding photography

The Orangery does most of the heavy lifting at St Audries Park. It’s white wrought iron under a glass roof, so your ceremony runs on even daylight from overhead whatever the Somerset sky is doing, and there isn’t a bad seat or a bad angle in it. Step out through the arched glass doors and you’re straight into the good stuff: ivy up the stone, Gothic archways, red-stone garden steps, a formal lawn with a fountain, a marble statue to line the party up against. Inside, the grand wooden staircase carries portraits from above and takes your whole wedding party sitting on it. Autumn is the season to book, because the trees on the lawn go properly gold and the parkland behind them keeps the light long after the house has gone dark. That’s the ten minutes to keep for yourselves. It finishes on a sparkler tunnel with the floodlit front behind, and there’s enough building here that we never shoot the same corner twice.
