You marry in the Orangery at St Audries Park, all white wrought iron under a glass roof, with light coming in evenly from above, so the ceremony looks good from every angle.

Step out through the arched glass doors and the gardens are right there, with ivy climbing the stone, Gothic archways, red-stone garden steps and a formal lawn with a fountain. A marble statue is a good spot to line up the wedding party, and back inside, the grand wooden staircase is ideal for photos from above, with room for the whole party to sit on it together.

Autumn is the season to aim for here. The trees on the lawn turn a rich gold, and the parkland behind them catches the last of the light, so keep a little time free for the two of you out there. Finish with a sparkler tunnel in front of the floodlit house.
