Sopwell House
You get ready in the Mews suites at Sopwell House, which are gated and set apart in their own gardens, so your morning feels private, away from the hotel corridors. The ceremony room is light, neutral and roomy. Afterwards, everyone gathers on the lawns in front of the cream house, under a big mature tree.
The best spot in the garden is the blue footbridge over the water. It’s a short walk from the ballroom and gives you a few quiet minutes away from your guests. Next to it there’s a boardwalk and an arch of foliage that turns copper in the autumn, which is when the garden looks its best.
In the evening there’s room outside for a sparkler tunnel, before you head back in to the party.
