Slapton Manor

Slapton Manor is a working farm in Northamptonshire, and that’s a big part of its charm. The old threshing barn is where you’ll say your vows, under timber trusses, with weathered walls and a curtain of fairy lights behind you. Straight after, the confetti comes down on the stone steps under the arched door, and the courtyard is big enough for an overhead shot of all your guests.

Drinks are in the fold yard, and for portraits the farm gives you more variety than a formal garden would. There’s old stone and a brick barn, lavender along a gravel path, meadow grass and a fallen log under the trees.

Dinner and dancing are in the marquee, and as the sky turns blue after sunset, it lights up from inside.
