Old Luxters Barn

Old Luxters Barn asks you for ten minutes and a pair of wellies and it pays off. A short walk up through the woods behind the barn opens onto the stunning rolling Buckinghamshire countryside and that’s where the picture you end up hanging on a wall comes from. We did this one in the wet, red wellies and a clear umbrella and the soft light made it better rather than worse.

You marry in a charming and rustic barn, with timber beams and overhead fairy lights and large glass doors behind the celebrant. As you step out after the ceremony, there will be a flint-walled courtyard as the background for the confetti. If you’re tight on time there is a small farmhouse garden as well for portraits, which is especially beautiful in the autumn as the winding vines take the colour beautifully.

At night, the dancing stays at the barn, warmly lit by those fairy lights and festoons which gives the party a certain charm as you celebrate away.
