Leigh Park Country House Hotel

Leigh Park Country House Hotel has a columned entrance with clipped bay trees on either side, and it works for a bridal portrait in the morning and for family groups later on. Many couples have a church ceremony nearby and head straight back here afterwards.

The lawn is wide, flat and open, with space for every guest in front of the honey-stone house, and big enough for a game of football between courses. A stone archway and a big spreading tree give you some quieter spots for couple portraits. At the end of the afternoon, the wisteria pergola with a bench underneath is the place to be. It faces the right way for the late sun, which comes through the trees behind it and makes for a warm, relaxed portrait.

Inside, the conservatory restaurant and the reception suite both look out over the gardens, so there’s natural light for the speeches.
