Hyde House

Hyde House is a Cotswold-stone venue with a beamed barn, and in autumn it’s full of colour. The avenue of pleached trees turns gold, the beech hedge follows, and Virginia creeper runs right up the stone, so even the walls change colour behind you.

The bridal suite above the barn has sloping skylights, which makes for a bright, easy morning. You can marry in the barn, with its high rafters and oak-framed windows, or outside under the oak arbour in the garden with the fields beyond. The terrace looks straight out over open countryside, so standing there gives you nothing but hills behind.

Dinner and the party stay in the barn under lit trusses. Later on the arbour is fairy-lit, and you can head back out to it once everyone else has gone inside. With no other weddings on the same day, nothing has to be timed around anyone else.
