Hunton Park Hotel

Hunton Park has a wide flight of stone steps leading down to a fountain, with globe lamps on either side, and it’s the best spot in the garden for portraits, especially with your dress spread across the steps.

You get ready in rooms with tall windows and patterned walls, and indoors there’s a sweeping oak staircase big enough for the whole bridal party. The Orangery is where you marry, with glass overhead and the garden on every side. Straight after, the confetti and the big group shot are out front, by the arched doorway in the red brick.

Around the fountain, the formal gardens have topiary, gravel paths and clipped yew. Dinner and dancing are in the marquee, and as the evening begins the light inside turns soft and warm.
