Highfield Park

Highfield Park has plenty of open space around it. Past the clipped hedges, the parkland opens out into meadow, and a walk out there at dusk gives you portraits with no building, no fence and nobody else in them.

Inside, you marry in a room with deep bay windows that fill it with light. If you’d rather marry outdoors, the Folly, an ivy-draped stone colonnade with steps up to it, is an option, and it’s a great backdrop for portraits too. Afterwards, the red-brick front and its portico have room for the whole guest list, and the confetti tunnel runs out onto the lawn. There are weathered brick garden steps and a bench in the grounds for a few quieter photos.

Dinner and the first dance are under a canopy of fairy lights in the glazed garden-room wing, and once it’s dark you can see it glowing from across the lawn.
