The Hampshire Court Hotel

The Hampshire Court Hotel has a choice of bright, generously sized rooms, some with timber beams, so the ceremony and the dinner can fit the number of guests you actually have. There’s good window light for the vows, too.

The courtyard is the part of the hotel we’d use most. It’s sheltered, so the drinks can be outside whatever the weather is doing, and it looks good once the lighting comes on in the evening.

For portraits, ornamental grasses run along the timber-clad side of the building, tall and loose enough to give you a soft green backdrop, and the decking and balcony give you somewhere raised with clear sky behind. When the evening draws in, the lit gabled entrance makes a clean, simple last photo.
