Gorse Hill Hotel

All it takes is a two minute walk from the hotel at Gorse Hill to step into the charm of the woodland filled with pines. Surrounded by seventeen acres of countryside, the venue offers an open lawn, wooded slopes, grassy banks to sit on, topiary gardens for the whole group and enough space to play a game of rugby with the lads between courses without anyone minding. You can see the garden in the ceremony room, which boasts a chandelier. The tall windows also let in plenty of natural light meaning when you exchange your rings, no one will have to squint into the flash.

The stone steps and the columned front are a classic and they’re at their best during the low sun, when the building behind you starts to glow. During the evening, the events run indoors with a band on an LED floor and casino tables if you want them. It’s an easy place to work, with real variety that doesn’t ask anyone to get in the car.
