Crockwell Farm

Crockwell Farm sits in open Northamptonshire countryside, and you’re never far from a field. Getting ready happens in a panelled, curtained room, a calm space for getting into the dress and having a quiet moment before the day gets going. If you’re marrying in church first, the farm is where the rest of the day happens, in a draped marquee.

For couple portraits, everything is a short walk away: a hay meadow, a wooden fence, a country lane, a big spreading tree and a rustic wooden pergola. That’s a lot of different looks without going far, and the honey-stone farmhouse is a good backdrop too.

As it gets dark, the big tree beside the farmhouse is lit with fairy lights, and it’s well worth slipping out of the party for a few minutes for a photo under it. Back in the marquee, the band takes over and the coloured lights give the dance floor a real party feel.
