Courtyard by Marriott Oxford South

Courtyard by Marriott Oxford South is a modern hotel, and the best thing about it for photos is the wall of glass down one side of the event rooms. It lets soft daylight fall across the ceremony and the top table, so everyone looks good wherever they’re standing.

There’s a foliage wall inside too, which works well for family groups and means nobody has to stand outside if the weather isn’t kind. For couple portraits with a more natural feel, there’s a lake with reeds and an archway of trees a short drive away.

In the evening the room changes completely. The lights go down, coloured lighting comes up over the dance floor, and the first dance has a whole different mood from the daytime. It’s a practical choice if you’d rather not move your guests between venues.
