What the Cotswolds Hotel & Spa gives you is space. The course wraps right round the building, so when we take you out for portraits there’s no fence and no car park behind you, just open Oxfordshire ground in every direction. The long meadow grass at the edges is the best of it, because late on the sun comes through it sideways and you get pictures that look like they were taken miles from a hotel. There’s a lake with reeds and a small wooden jetty a short walk off, a dry-stone wall to lean on, and enough fairway to line up a hundred guests without anyone cramming in. The ballroom is draped and glazed, which keeps the ceremony bright and the reception easy to shoot, and the terrace off it is licensed if you’d rather marry outside. Everything is under one roof, so nobody has to drive anywhere. If there are fireworks over the course at the end, tell us early and we’ll put the two of you in front of them.
