The Chesterton Hotel

Most of The Chesterton is glass and clean lines rather than the country-house look you expect in this part of Oxfordshire, and that shows up in the pictures straight away. The ceremony sits outside under a gazebo dressed with foliage, on an open lawn ringed by willows, so the vows and the confetti happen in the same green light and nobody moves rooms in between. Those willows are worth ten minutes on their own for couple portraits, and there’s a living foliage wall and a dark patterned wall by the terrace if you want something with more edge to it. The Garden Room is glazed floor to ceiling, which keeps your wedding breakfast bright and lets us shoot the speeches without lifting a flash. The dance floor lights up from underneath. Come back outside after dark for the water feature. It’s lit, the glass room glows behind it, and the two of you in front of it don’t look like anything else from the day.
