Cantley House Hotel

The bedrooms at Cantley House are bright, and there’s a balcony doorway with light coming straight through it that’s just right for hanging the dress. You can marry indoors or out in the gardens, which are licensed too, and then the confetti comes down in front of the red-brick house. There’s enough lawn on either side to photograph all your guests from above, and later, once the house lights come on, the front doorway glows warm for a quick portrait.

For couple portraits, fifteen minutes in the gardens gives you three different backdrops: a white summerhouse, a rose arch and a copper beech big enough to stand underneath together.

The party is in the barn, with bare timbers going right up to the roof and festoon lights strung across them, so the evening photos have plenty of warmth and height.
