Bourton Hall

Bourton Hall has a panelled chapel that’s our favourite room there, with dark carved wood and a gilded ceiling that give your ceremony photos a rich, warm feel.

The day starts in the bridal suite, with a four-poster bed under a chandelier and tall windows down one side, so the morning photos are full of soft window light. When it’s time, your bridesmaids come down the grand staircase, which is also where we take portraits if the weather turns. After the ceremony, the stone front of the hall takes the whole guest list, with nobody disappearing round a corner.

The gardens are generous, with a fountain and steps leading down to it, deep flower borders and a redwood so tall it dwarfs you both. That’s where we’d spend whatever time you can spare for portraits.
